The Monell Center (Monell) values and respects the privacy of all of our website visitors. We do not sell, rent, trade, or market personal or mobile data to third parties, affiliates, or partners except when strictly necessary to deliver service and only under binding agreements that ensure confidentiality. Within Monell, we limit access to your information to those who need it to complete an associated transaction and/or to fulfill your request.

We may utilize software and/or third party services to collect data on website visits that is not personally identifiable. We primarily utilize this information to improve the user experience on our site.

Although we may provide links from our site to other websites, our policies do not apply to them and we have no control over how they use any information you might provide to them.

The Monell Center respects the privacy of our constituents. We will only use your name, address and any other personal data you provide to facilitate our direct communications with you. We will not share your information with anyone outside of our organization unless we are legally required to do so. We do not rent, sell, give away, or trade our mailing lists. Donor names are included in annual honor rolls unless the donor has requested otherwise. If you decide you do not want your name listed, please email giving@monell.org, or call (267) 519-4717. If at any time you choose not to receive some or all communications from us, please email giving@monell.org, or call (267) 519-4717 and we will remove you from our mailing lists.

1. Some Monell research involves sending text messages to participants. These may include links to surveys or quizzes, questions related to the study, and reminders of scheduled appointments.
2. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP” to the number you receive the messages from. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
3. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at helpdesk@monell.org.
4. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. The specific number of messages depends on the study you are participating in, and details are available in the Informed Consent for your study. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
