Library

The Monell library contains 650 flavor books and journals of historical interest to researchers, and is among the world’s largest collection of books that focus on the social, chemical, biological, and molecular aspects of taste and smell.​

Monell’s founding director Morley R. Kare contributed the first books to the library. Other notable chemosensory scientists, including Gary Beauchamp, PhD, Henry Lawless, PhD, and Bruce Halpern, PhD, also have donated materials to the collection.
