Dr. Stephanie Hunter Receives First Ever Research Grant Awarded by AbScent

Postdoctoral Fellow Stephanie Hunter was recently awarded a grant from AbScent to support her research at Monell Chemical Senses Center. Dr. Hunter’s project begins this month, aiming to investigate the role of capsaicin in increasing the enjoyment of food for those living with smell loss. The project will eventually help provide strategies that, unlike the addition of salt, will improve how food tastes without the risk of chronic disease.
